Dress for semi-formal school dance?

I'm 14 and I have a semi-formal school dance coming up, and I'm having trouble finding a dress I like. I want a party/prom dress, preferably an asymmetrical one. I also don't want to get one off a website, I want to be able to go to the store and try it on and whatnot. Thanks for your help! (:

well i'm attending a dance like that too but im a year younger.

i also got this grayish headband with a metal (paintes gray) rose and a really pretty long chain heart and key necklace from icing. =]

it's good time to buy that little black dress with matching 2" heels every girl should have in her wardrobe. to see what i'm referring to watch the movie Sabrina with audrey hepburn. in the movie she attends a party and looks really good in the dress i just mentioned. women all over the world used to try a dress like her. good taste never goes out of style. there are audrey hepburn web sites with lots of photos you can look through, the photo of her in the dress is probably there. you may have to go through a few pages of photos but you may enjoy the time spent.
