Dreams and Nightmares

I had a dream that I watched as my boyfriend got murdered by being shot in the head. I woke up crying and rung him to make sure he was ok (at about 5 in the morning- he wasn't impressed :P) It was really vivid and horrific though :(

I always have weird dreams. Alot of times it has something to do with what I've done that day, but weird things always happen and they make no sense.

 Very scary when that happens.

Have you ever tried changing your dreams?

When you wake up after a bad dream spend a few minutes thinking how you would change the ending of it.

If you make a habit of that then your subconscious can take over when you're having a nightmare and you can actually make changes while you are dreaming.

I used to have the most horrible nightmares about snakes and then I used this technique. One night I became aware when I was having the snake dream and it made me able to kill all the snakes! I dont' think I've had another snake dream since.

 I know what you mean. It can be difficult to work into a good sleep cycle where you can get refresh and repair.

I have to put myself on a strict schedule where I go to bed at 11 PM and stay in bed until 7 AM to try to rest. But since I sleep maybe 3 to 5 hours a night, it can be a difficult process. If I'm doing really well, I get 6 hours sleep.

I used to have a cat who would wake me up when I had nightmares. That helped a lot. My current cat doesn't do that.

I've never been a great sleeper but I seem to be growing out of the bad dreams/nightmares (which often made me talk etc, sometimes sleep-walk) which can only be a good thing.
I just never get any refreshing sleep, when I finally fall asleep I never eem to get into that 'refresh and repair' type sleep. And my sleeping position is awful which probably doesn't help but I can't change that. So as a result I don't really dream much...

eeee, I was just hoping there was a thread for this *slow*

I don't remember much. just that Mary-Kate and Ashley both contracted and died from swine flu, and it was like, all over the news, and everyone was breaking down and scared, because they're practically my age, and so many people grew up with them, and we all thought if it could happen to them, are we next? and everyone on FF was freaking out over it and everything.

I love waking up after a nightmare and feeling that sense of relief when I know it was all just a dream.

I keep dreaming I'm behind the wheel of a car recently, yet I can't drive.

Also had this dream where I was older and more attractive, married with kids to my boyfriend. We were both highly successful in what we did for jobs and lived in a really nice house and things were great. Then things got graphic ;) just to be interrupted by him calling :grr: oh well. It was still really nice though.

Maybe I should look up on a dream interpretor website what it all means

I dreamt my little sister (who's 8 years old) had turned into a demon or something, and tried to kill me in my room, but I managed to escape and tried to convince my mom to kill my little sister .. I have some creepy dreams :look:

I had a dream about my mother last night and I know she was telling me something important but I'm not sure what it was.

I had a pretty weird dream last night, about me getting into prison because I was smoking cigs, god I was so happy when I woke up and all.. whatever.

There is a dream/nightmares thread that's on page seven. Gonna merge this in a second after I type this.

Sometimes dreams can be a sign of something or trying to tell you something of the current situation you are in.

My last dream was a combination of a book I'd recently read, the last movie I saw, and the radio interview that was on as I was sleeping through my alarm

My dreams recently are just incorporate what I'm reading/watching, and nothing more. At least not in the parts I remember

I didn't find a thread about this, but if there is one already and I missed it, I apologize :embarrassment:

Do you guys dream when you sleep? Sometimes I dream about so many things in one night that it doesn't even make any sense when I try to remember everything

But I've had two similar weird dreams lately........I wonder what they mean :goof:

Do you believe dreams have meanings, that maybe they're telling us something? :)

^Now, were you two kids with this little wagon segment or is it two grown people laying and pulling a wagon in tow? :P

For me, anything that deals with the circus in any form spells nightmare. :blank:

My dream last night was weird and bizzare. It was my first day of Starbucks and I completely mess up the order. The odd thing is, as much as I like hanging out at Starbucks, I don't think I want to work there. Especially when you get the "rush hour" time of customers.
