Dreams and Nightmares

Good point. Mostly I try to sort out the scary dreams so I feel like there's a more satisfactory ending and that helps the creepy feeling to go away.

Ultimatums...that sounds suitably worrying.

And if you mean having dreams that have actually come true later, then yeah, that has happened to me. :look: Kinda scary.

Has anyone had those dreams were you taken against your own will? I had that sort of dream last night but the whole circumstance seemed bizzare. :look:

Anybody have those dreams where it reflects the days to come? Apparently, the dream I had involves being handed ultimatums.

I do something like that when I'm seriously over-tired. I will be asleep and dreaming, and in the dream I will be so tired that I fall asleep, and then I'm dreaming in a dream that I'm tired and I fall asleep...and so on down through about six levels of sleep and dreams. I can't move and I can't wake up and it feels a lot like dying. Very scary.

Last night I had this really weird dream where I was cutting my friend's hair, and I cut it really short. So she ripped up my favorite skirt and covered it in purple paint as revenge. Then her dad suddenly appeared and threw some red and blue paint on the skirt for good measure, and I started crying.

:goof:

I guess you can call my dream very strange. But this is what happened:

My boyfriend was holding a violin concert and was doing the Turkish March remix. However, while he was performing, I kept disrupting him with the exact tune with my own violin and a violin duel was going on. :goof:

I dreamed of being in one of those old neighborhoods with the Victorian style houses that seemed abandoned for years and I'm just wandering. Then it gets to the paranoid phrase where I keep thinking someone's been stalking me.

I had at least three different dreams the same night; I really don't recall them all because they were all over the place. I know that at least one of them was about someone dying, and the other one was that I was trying to get away from this assassin and then he ends up catching up to me and then that's when I woke up. However, I don't remember the third dream I had:/

Usually, I have the tendency of when I wake up from my dream, I can end up falling back to sleep and continue where I left off in the dream... which is odd but I'm able to pick up on it.

I had this dream last night that my dad was chasing me aroud this huge house with a gun and was trying to kill me. When I finally got outside the house he shot me dead and just laughed. :( :bawl:

My dreams are usual vivid and violent, but I really haven't had any lately.....

I have this recurring dream where I'm blissfully happy and engaged or married. It's always with the same guy but I've never seen his face-all I know is his name is Jason.

 That is probably a manifestation of your fears that you will go unprepared

The way you describe it is similar to that dream I had of someone pressing down on me. And I thought I was actually awake at that time.

I'm too much in to my story. I imagined my character at a nightclub/cafe-like stage, placing her dolls (humans that she had collected but turned them in to) on each chair and one at the piano seat. As she begins to sing, the dolls become human (no transformation scene is seen) watching while the other doll plays the piano.

The girl singing in question is a half breed demon who has the ability to turn humans in to dolls that usually serve the purpose to keep her company.

That's what I get for writing too many stories sometimes. :goof:

I have a few dream books in storage. They give some interesting ideas on things in your dreams. Check them out.

oh the teeth thing, if your teeth fall out it may suggest that you are thinking about some permanent part of your life which is under threat.

I had a wonderful dream lastnight. It was surreal. I wrote a few things down and am turning it hopefully into a poem. we'll see.

It sounds a lot like it to me as well. For me, I had this feeling of knowing I was dreaming, knowing that I wanted to wake up and get out of this dream, but physically not being able to. This fear and panic setting in the longer it went on. I do think avoiding lying on your back will help, don't know why. And maybe keeping a more regular sleep schedule. My sleeping habits were bad so that's probably why. It really scary, isn't it? I hope I never have to go through that again.

They say, if it happens to you, focus on something particular. Like wiggling your finger. It might snap you out of it.

That's true but there are times when it depends what kind of dream was it that I'm willing to see it through the end.

Morbid as it may sound, I've been having dreams of death as of late. One of them being a recurring dream on where I am wandering around a carnival and end up in the maze of mirrors. To which after all the lights go out except for one dim one, all the mirrors around me shatter and the glass struck me.

The other dream was last night where I was standing with a friend in a parking lot during the evening, and the dog my cousin owns just kept running to and fro very fast with a chew toy in its mouth. The problem is, I kept calling out to my cousin's dog and tried to catch it but the dog was too fast or I couldn't catch it. And then all of a sudden, a black pick up truck backed up and struck the dog, sending it flying in to the air, landing it a yard away from my friend and I. It wasn't exactly dead but it was breathing heavily and its eyes were opened wide. :blank:

Yeah! One of the things I love about other cultures is that they have so many wonderful ideas that mine doesn't. I wish I could remember that guy's name. I kind of want to read his book now.

That's probably what they are. The subconscious can be a strange place. :/ It's a shame that yours deals with stress-related issues through nightmares and night-terrors. I bet that's really rough...

And, wow, dreaming of bits of the future? Maybe it's a coincidence, but I'm not much of a sceptic (if I haven't made that abundantly clear yet ) so I can entirely believe that's possible. So you've dreamed of some pretty big things happening, and they've happened? That's... well, I don't want to say amazing because I'm sure they weren't good things to dream about if your nightmares are any indication... but it's definitely unique.
