Come on RAB yes Dreamgirls has been nominated for 8 Oscars but only two of them are in a category worth mentioning # Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role & Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role - if any film should have that headline it should be Babel which has nominations in 7 catergories Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Directing, Achievement in Film Editing, Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score), Best Motion Picture of the Year, Original Screenplay even The Queen get 6 nominations including Best Actress & Best Film
 
Absolutely, A totally misleading headline from RAB. Three noms in the original song category which nobody cares about these days. Quite how a movie can "lead the oscar race" when it isn't nommed for Best Picture is beyond me.
 
It is possible for a movie to get the most Oscar nominations and not have one for Best Picture - this is the first time it's ever happened. What is misleading is Radio 1 calling it Beyonce's movie when Jennifer HuRABon's getting the most buzz from it - especially since unlike Beyonce, Jennifer's actually up for an Oscar! (The round-bottomed one could have had a shot in the Best Original Song category, like she did at the Golden Globes, but Oscar rules limit the number of nominated songwriters to three and "Listen" credits four... guess who was ineligible?)
