Drawn Together Season Finale: "American Idol Parody Clip Show"

This week, Comedy Central will be airing Drawn Together's third season finale in both its usual Thursday timeslot AND a day earlier in its old Wednesday timeslot. The episode will be part clip show, part American Idol parody. Rumor has it that someone will be sent home... unless it's another one of those big twists the DT writers are so fond of throwing at us. All I know is that somewhere along the line, Xandir will sing a very dirty song while riding a very phallic-like thing.

Hopefully the writers were smart to NOT put in a cliffhanger. As many said on these threads before, the show is dead, people...I really hope DT doesn't become Comedy Central's Elvis...

Wooldoor's rendition of Black Chick's Tongue = perfect.

DT Fun Fact: When this line was written, Drawn Together had not yet been cancelled.

XD

Ha, liked when they shown the same clip twice for both Xander and Ling Ling.

I also liked the self-awareness of how bad a clip show can be, and how they will be cancelled. I didn't think Comedy Central would allow it, but they let Drawn Together go out telling the audience exactly what would happen by the end of the episode.

It was funny, it was entertaining, but the ending was lame despite it being lame on purpose.

That being said, I'll be the first one to buy the DVD when it comes out.

But remember, when that show was made, Comedy Central had, in fact, canceled Drawn Together. Then, they "uncanceled" it, deciding to see how season 3.5's ratings and the season 2 DVD's sales went. So, there's still a really slim chance that the show could get renewed.

I wouldn't mind if the show ended on this season. It was a strong, funny season. If they did get renewed, season four would be the one hanging by a wire constantly like this season experienced.

I mean, I don't want it to end, but if it did, I'd rather it be now then be in constant fear of later, and the next season might not be as hilarious, since most of the crew has moved on.

But, I dunno, just spitballing here.

"Fun Fact: This is a very disappointing series finale"

The fact it was lame makes it pretty good. All the self-referencing to being canceled was funny, if a bit bitter; but I can understand the bitterness.. and how Clara pointed out they wouldn't kill anyone off for good like they always do.

"Popular animated comedy central show canceled"

Guess they had to get one last Clara/Foxxy nude scene before the show ended.

Good finale, I can't really think how else they could have ended the series.

Wow. They actually tried with the season one callbacks and all the self-referential stuff. Really good.

Bye, DT, enjoy life on DVD and playing at obscure late night time slots on Comedy Central!...

Merrick, if you ever get out of the picket lines long enough to read this board...

....seriously, thank you from the bottom of my heart for one of the funniest animated sitcoms I've ever watched. I know you guys took a lot of heat every now and then from the rabid internet forum members, but you guys always took it in stride.

While Family Guy constantly has cut-aways, DT constantly had cut-aways AND just moments during scenes that smacked me as hard as it could over the back of my head.

As lowbrow as some of them were, there were just as many jokes that actually took a couple minutes to register. I'll never forget this show. As big of a nerd as that makes me.

I think I'll actually watch all of this last season tonight while rockin' Assassin's Creed.

Merrick, this was honestly the only show I could ever watch knowing that I would laugh out loud several times and have a guaranteed line to repeat for years each episode. As much heat and crap that you took from internet fanboys who claims the show is "low brow garbage", just ignore that Siht. DT is definetly not going to be forgotten, this was truly the funniest animated series I have seen on the air since Family Guy or South Park, and I think it's gonna come back, whether it's on DVD or TV

It was a good episode, not OMG AWESOME but entertaining and not a bad season/series finale.

I thought in the end he was just going to kick everyone off the show, I bet if they had known they were going to be canceled it would have happened.

Hopefully we see a DVD release for this soon.

Even though I had a perfect chance to go and watch the whole thing, instead I was busy waiting in line to order food.
Crap.
Ya know, I hated the show for it's over-the-top crude nature, but after enjoying Family Guy and Robot Chicken, I worked my way up into enjoying this show. Hopefully I'll try watching old episodes in the future if it still comes on at the same time.

Now on a semi-related note.....Wikipedia says Daria makes a cameo in season 3.
Did anyone catch that?
