Remember, episodes of Drawn Together air Thursday nights at 10:30 PM EST! In this episode, we find out what happens when Wooldoor Sockbat becomes a cereal mascot. But even a world as sugary sweet as the cereal mascots' has a dark side...

Feel free to post pre-episode and, when the episode airs, post-episode thoughts here. Discuss. Or dis and cuss.

And if you missed the two episodes before this one, fear not... they're On Demand! Oh, and buy the Season 2 DVD if you haven't done so already.

(By the way, if you've seen the poll, note that I used cereal slogans... except on the last two. Can you guess where they all came from?)

I'd close the poll until tonight, but it sounds like this episode might be fairly good. The previous two were, this should be no exception.

Awesome episode!!!

For the cereal mascots I think I got...

Frankenberry
Tony the Tiger
Cap'n Crunch
Sonny
The Trix Rabbit
Lucky
The Honey Nut Cheerio's Bee
Dig 'Em Frog
Sugar Bear
Snap
Crackle
Pop

plus the Soggies, it can't get any better than that!

That's...that's the joke. "Cereal Killer" is obvious and cliche, thus "Breakfast Food Killer". Overall, best episode I've seen in a long time, and it's so sad that DT is about to end, knowing that quality is improving back to early S2 standards. Loved the Carousel of Progress thing, but...

"Now Is the Time" is actually the new one. First there was "Great, Big Beautiful Tomorrow", then replaced with "Now Is the Time", and now it's back to "Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow"...yeah, I know, it's sad I know this...

...just one thing more: how the hell did they get the rights to that song?!...

Yeah, the title is supposed to be a pun on obvious wordplay.

Good episode, the running gags were not as good the third time around though. (Good Times was really funny the first time, though).

B+

It was nice to see an episode that didn't rely on Captain Hero as much. Some of the bits may have outstayed their welcome, but most of them were pretty good. The bits weren't quite as over-the-top as previous episodes, but the story and animation was very well done. My favorite part was the stick figure animation.

Can't wait for next week's Drawn Together where they spoof muppet babies.

This one's plot actually seemed more cartoon like, as they were actually doing something for the greater good and fighting an evil villain(Franken Berry) even if technically the only reason any of them do good things is because it benefits them in some way.

I thought it was alright. Not too many shocking, overtly sexual moments in this one. Apart from the incest kids at the start though. Does anyone know who wrote this episode? I can't seem to find out.

Great episode

You know, watching Drawn Together now is kinda saddening to me because I know these are the last new eps we will be seeing, but nevertheless I enjoyed this one, loved the Good Times parody, I didn't like the Best Times of your life thing though, loved the Cereal Mascot cameos.

I have a feeling that while the crew had some good ideas for a breakfast ceral storyline and wanted to make it it's own focused plot, they probably had more time to kill then in other weeks and thus had to repeat and lengthen jokes even more so. The whole Woodlor talking to Boner, the Good Times ref doubled, and even the shortcut song all could of been trimmed or not repeated and been better off for it. There was some good stuff here though. First off I'm glad that we FINALLY had a plot this season where Captain Hero only cameod a few times since he can take up so much screentime (thinking about it Clara got shortchanged the most here. Spanky had a couple of lines and Ling Ling was semi put in the second and third acts but I don't think she had anything this week). I also liked the various parodies they did have (mainly of Tony, Lucky, Diggim, The Frankberry/Frankenstien joke and the CooCooPuffs Bird. Thinking about it why didn't they have Barney/Fred in a more promient role being one of the more well known cereal/cartoon characters around), Spanky and Foxxy having to dumb down they're speech, the fight/chase on the top of the car (obvbious Matrix Reloaded refrence) Foxxy being offended just knowing they were going to africa, Ling Ling's apparence (though did he really need to get killed off at the end? Try and do something more interesting then that guys), and the kids being the richest in Africia. Some stuff that could of done better but decent all the same.

Neither Clara nor Xandir had any lines in this one.

Probably because they're better known for their roles on The Flintstones than as the mascots for Cocoa/Fruity Pebbles, and wouldn't necessarily have been recognized as cereal mascots right away.

I think he's a "NewsRadio" veteran.

Anyway, highlarious. It only dawned on me that the scene toward the beginning was a take-off of Boogie Nights when Toot mentioned it. (BTW, loved her 'lazy plagarism' line; take that, evil 'quote-unquote' braintrust of Seltzer-Friedberg). Looking back it was pretty funny: Pop as William H. Macy's character, the Trix Rabbit as Rollergirl, and so on.

Man, Foxxy sure loves her Funyuns. (And can you blame her; they're tasty.)

Also, a no-prize prize to whomever can get me a screenshot of that "Good Times" mural.

Finally, Cap doesn't steal the show! Glad to see Wooldoor and Toot take the leads for a change, and the entire thing was just overly brilliant. Umm, no compalints, except that James Arnold Taylor seems to feel bored doing Wooldoor's voice.

I'd say ****1/2. Now, I know a shortcut!
