Drawn Together "Charlotte's Web of Lies" Talkback

I missed last weeks 'premiere' so I was looking forward to seeing this weeks installment and it was pretty good. At first I thought it was going to be a Spanky-centric episode based on previews but then they did one better did three separate storylines with the others being Ling-Ling and Captain Hero. Out of all three I enjoyed Ling-Ling's the most.

We finally got to see the Ling-Ling's trainer again and I thought the Frankie Muniz battle monster bit was amusing. I loved the cameos of The Hulk, Yosemite Sam,Skeletor and Marvin the Martian. Oh and I laughed out loud when I saw Ling-Ling donning the M.C. Hammer style pants.

Spanky's story was a little creepy (considering I saw Charlotte's Web as a kid) but pretty interesting. I loved the scene where Charlotte left various psychotic messages in her webbings.

"You can't catch me! I'm the gingerbreadman!" Zoom Zoom!

Hero's story was okay (Damn him for ruining Foxxy and Clara's *ahem* 'pool party') but I got a kick of the ending. "Your ball are now CLEEEEAN!" lol

Very, very cool episode ... and yet another Star Wars reference! In fact, although the recorded line has Spanky asking for an extermination service, I just happened to have the closed-captioning on and it read: "Hello, Boba Fett? I have a problem."

As cool a character as Captain Hero is, I just didn't think his subplot was all that funny. The Spanky/Charlotte and Ling Ling storylines were much funnier and inventive.

Holy cow, was that Fran Drescher immitation spot-on or what? Frightening!

Odd plot for Captain Hero, but it works. I don't want to see those balls, though. I'm always up for a good Ling-Ling subplot, and here we go. Who would of thought that his dream was to be a dancer? Plus, the dance between Ling and Gash while Frankie Muniz destroys the audience was just brilliance. Now Spanky's subplot, on the other hand, wasn't too great. I just didn't find it funny much.

Anyway, a ****, I guess.
