Yep it's based on 'Dragonball' without the Z people please uhh:rolleyes:.

Just thought I'd bump this thread as the film is coming up and it achually does look impressive so far.

Here's the latest trailer (not the same as the trailer from the OP's post)

Does look better compared to the first awful trailer that came out. ReminRAB me of the live action Casshern in parts of that trailer, the art direction and so on.

I won't be wasting my money. And ok a huge dragonball fan Hollywood have absolutely murdered the franchise.

I'm dreading MGS movie

Hollywood got so cr@p at making movies these days

I don't know. I do think it's going to be an alright movie. I'm a huge DBZ fan myself and I'm also quite open minded about this film so I'm quite excited.

I just think that people shouldn't judge it now untill the film is achually out for people to watch, then I think you guys can say what you really think. You never know it could be a huge blockbuster or not.:)

Been following the development of this movie for quite awhile. Gotta say that i'm disappointed with what i've seen so far. For one thing, Piccolo is not even near green in any of the footage outed.

Has anyone actually seen this movie? I've just seen it.... don't waste your money. I'm not so much a DB or DBZ fan but I'm the mother/auntie/sister of ones who know the series more or less from the start! ;) But the fight scenes, the storyline and continuity of scenes are appalling. There were characters that played a part of the movie (not main characters but neither just extras or bit parts I mean) that up to now we don't know who the heck they were. One minute a character was talking about doing something, the next they were in the miRABt of doing it - you had to wander how did they get there or got the things to do it. It was as if the film was previously made but had to cut some scenes down to stick to a strict time limit to the version that's out now. And there were scenes that just didn't make sense:
There were three of them travelling along a road when they suddenly dropped down a makeshifted hole and they were stuck down there for hours (as the background changed from bright sunlight to midnight darkness) with the introduction of Yamcha teasing them from the road about leaving them in there. Then all of a sudden Master Yoshi (one of the three) jumps out the hole. We were wondering why he didn't do that in the first place if he had the ability to do it???!!

Piccolo seemed more of a grey colour to me but that might be my tired eyes, the bloke they got to play Goku was definetly the wrong casting and I don't say that because he's not Asian, he just doesn't fit the cartoon version (if that was what they were trying to get). The only thing was the same was both versions had black hair, that's it. Out of ten, I give it no more than three and that's only because of a couples scenes I liked:
the scene where he goes to Chi-Chi's party and is confronted by the 6-7 guys and one where he meets Bulma and her fold-up Quad bike
and the fact that I didn't pay to see it. We watched it out of curiousity as we were sent a video review via youtube.

I saw this last night, it was OK, I wasn't expecting much, not a huge fan of the cartoon, remember watching it when I was younger on Saturday mornings. The story was simple if a bit rushed, the action was fun and the effects were as good as they could have been.

My gripe was the acting and some of the characters....wow. The bloke who played Yamcha....yikes, I wanted to see him get hurt, badly. Bulma seemed a bit forced but I liked her. Justin Chatwin could have bulked up a bit more, his acting were shocking in this film and I've seen him in other things where's been better. At times the Dialogue sounded like the english translations you hear on manga cartoons!! lol...unintentionally funny. "I. Must. Destroy. Ooruso"...or something. :D
