Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi v.how to use classic controller

so I just picked up this game and it looks pretty complicated (never played the first one). I figured out most of the controls using the wii remote and nunchuck but it has no instruction for using the classic controller. for example how do you do Ki based attacks like the Kamehameha without thrusting the wii remote back and forward. also Dragon Dash, blast one and 2 etc. if anybody has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm assuming it'd be similar to the ps2 version, but I can't find a manual for that ether

I have a friend who's really into this game and hunting for a PS2 copy, (hard to find in Tanzania). He's the only person I know who might be able to help you, (he's even looked at the Wii version) so I'll point him to this thread.

yeah its really hard to use blast 1 2 and 3 before you get kicked in the face, the wii remote is a little hard to use for some things but its a really fun game, it looks nice and I'm sure once I find the controls not listed in the options screen for the classic controller it'll be a bit easier. its complex but after some practice its fun as hell.

I take that back, I was fucking up blast 2/3 and didnt realize that blast one is usually a power up. its really not hard with the wii remote (its actually kinda fun). I just want to learn how to do it with the classic to see if its any faster.

yeah thats just about as far as I got last night, I did some more training this morning and figured out how to do all of piccolo's blast attacks. I just wish I knew how "while holding Z and B move the curser off screen right then back on screen" translates to the classic controller and the GC controller. I'm sure the hold Z and B part is the same but there is no curser so what buttons do you press to get them to do the moves. I can't find a translated list anywhere damn you nintendo!!!

I'm thinking it might have something to do with the D pad, maybe instead of "curser off screen right, back on screen" you can hold then release the right key on the d pad its easy enough with the wii remote but I like the fly up/down on the regular controller better.

i can't get past the second part of the story where you're goku and you need to escape....this game is very complicated ....i played super monkeyball for about an hour though

The Wii controls for DBZ:BT2 aren't that bad once you get used to it. It's pretty much just holding Z and B and then moving the cursor off screen in the specific direction for the specific move you want to do. I made the mistake of taking the cursor off screen for a split second thinking it would react to it that quickly. Well, it didn't. Now I learned how to take it off screen to give it time to charge 2-3 seconds.

I love the moves where you hold Z/B and pull them back to you to charge the move and then thrust them both at the screen to pull it off. It's like you're doing the move in real life.

lol yeah the Kamehameha is fun as hell (my room mate was laughing at me when he saw me do it), though you don't have to wait 2-3 seconds, more like 1-2 tops
