Dragon Ball GT Season 1 DVD Talkback

Well, apparently people are getting it early. It includes the 1st 34 episodes, and DUBBED versions of the Japanese opening and endings. The dubbed version of Dan Dan is sung by the one and only, Vic Mignogna:

WHAT. THE. .....

Dubbed songs? Translated opening credits?

I don't really care for GT, but I might buy this just to show FUNi I support their treatment of this set.

I sat through GT once, I'm never sitting through this pain a second time.

The only thing I liked about it was the last episode and the Goku Jr. special. LOL!

Its kinda sad, really, that GT still exists. Why can't they just burn the film and destroy all the DVRAB? It is a disgrace.

2 questions.
1) By first 34, do you mean starting from the first 'lost episode'?
2) It has the UNDUBBED version of DAN DAN Kokoro Hikarete Ku? Awesome, as much as I love Head Cha-la, DAN DAN is my favorite DB song.

1) it starts from the true episode 1. FUNi isn't pulling any Lost Episodes BS again.
2) Yes, we has both dubbed and Japanese versions of Dan Dan and the endings. All the correct animations are used too, for their respective episodes.

Meh, not interested in buying this since I already rented the first box sets, but I might buy this and the 2nd box set anyways since/just cuz it would be cheaper.

Season 9 is the LAST Season of Dragon Ball Z, believe it or not ^_^.

They could always release Blu-Ray versions of all of the sets. That would actually encourage me to purchase a Blu-Ray player. We also still need to see an uncut release of the first thirteen episodes and first film of Dragon Ball. Lionsgate loses the rights in, what, 2010? FUNi will always find some reason to release something Dragon Ball related.

That would probably encourage me to get a Blu-Ray player as well .

As for the Lionsgate's license expiration date, I think it's sometime in 2010 or 2011.

And I sure do hope that FUNi does license the first 13 episodes and the first movie, as well as digitally remaster the other 3 movies and make them uncut too ^_^.

Here are videos containing the newly dubbed endings of Dragon Ball GT:

I never thought I would buy Dragon Ball GT again. Seriously. However, I will be purchasing these new sets. Tell me, FUNi, why was it so difficult to release them like this the first time around?

Watch them announce DB sets on blu-ray in 2010. By then I'll have bought all 3 shows on DVD. But, hontestly, I think I'll rebuy the whole series on BD if tht happened.

That's not possible for me to do, since I don't OWN the sets.

I RENTED them all from Netflix. I just returned all of Season 7 to Netflix recently in fact.
