Dragged a Knee today - - First Time!

It's really not as hard as you think. (I know...I wouldn't have believed it 2 days ago either) The book certainly doesn't measure up to taking the class, but it did actually help me in setting up my body position.
I doubt I would have worked up the courage to try it if I hadn't read that book.
It took me a while to find a suitable parking lot. Finally, I found a large chruch lot. It is completely clear of any debris and I was able to set up a mock corner in an area that had minimal white lines to cross.

Once I got everything set up, I just kept hitting it over and over again, increasing my speed as I got comfortable. It didnt' take long until I was scraping and I felt relatively safe during the whole process.

+1 on setting up your suspension. I just had my bike in the shop this week prior to this whole venture. I had a new tire put on the back and they also went through and made some serious suspension changes on my bike. It was not set up very well at all for my weight.

I just got back from another practice run. I felt even more comfortable today. I can see these knee pucks are not going to last very long if I keep this up. I spent probably double the time working my right side turn and I feel much better with it now.

Yea...will do. Next time I need to take someone with me to get some action shots too.

The mock corner isn't really anything special. I just set up 1 cone near the corner of the lot. (to avoid the white parking lines) I use the cone as the center of my radius. I'm guessing the radius is about 20-feet.
I started taking the corner at 19-20mph. My knee started touching around 24-25mph. Today i was up around 27-29mph.
