Dr. Seuss? Horton Hears a Who trailer

I don't think so. I think many of them are extremely well done. Not all of them are great but they are better quality technically (and in many cases: story-wise) then anything John K has put out.

The same goes for the Pixar films which John has a great time criticizing.

If John puts out something actually worth my time to watch then maybe I'll respect his opinion a little more but calling Ratatouille "bland" when the best thing he's put out is Ren and Stimpy... I dunno.

Anyway, I'm not sure what to say about the trailer. There's not much there. The animation looks great (probably on par with Pixar) but Jim Carry as Horton? Meh.

Blue Sky has always impressed me with the quality of it's animation so I'll be looking forward to seeing it, if not just for that.

Looks funny and yeah the Dr.Suess charecters look good in 3D. The live action was just scary. I don't mind Jim Carrey as the voice of Horten.

Frankly the original animated Horton Hears a Who isn't all that great, so some modifications are welcome. I don't know why they didn't adapt one of Seuss's more interesting works though.

You guys are jumping to conclusions too fast. There's, what, 30 seconds there? We should wait a bit longer before judging the film.

According to IMDB, he's not.

I'm actually looking quite forward to Horton Hears a Who more than I was before. I'm not exactly the biggest Blue Sky fan (actually, their production facilities aren't too far away from where I live :anime: ) but I like them a lot more than DreamWorks and I have faith from that trailer they'll be able to pick up from "Robots" and "Ice Age: The Meltdown," which IMO were quite a bit lackluster, but still entertaining.
