I was treated for a urinary tract infection two weeks ago. The doctor told me to call back last week for test results but gave me antibiotics because I showed signs of infection when she dipped my urine. Plus I was having symptoms. After I took the antibiotics, I felt better for about a day and then things started getting worse. I have called a few times for my results but got no response. My doctor usually calls right away if a test is positive, so I'm assuming my UTI test results were negative.
The problem is I am still having symptoms. I'm running to the bathroom every ten minutes and my bladder seems to be full each time. (I do drink a lot of water.) But the thing that is alarming me is I am achey right below both my ribs. I have no idea if this is related or not. It could be muscle pain because I do work out, though I barely worked out this week because I was so achey. If it is related, is that something I should be insisting to see my doctor about? It isn't unbearable, it's just achy and sometimes there are stabbing pains. Every so often I get them in my back too. I tested my own urine a few times and it tests positive for leukocytes. I also slept all day yesterday. It was abnormal. I probably slept for 18 hours but this morning I actually felt a little better and a little rested which is rare since I have also been experiencing really bad fatigue all month.
Sooooo, what do I do. It's Sunday night. I can never get through at my doctors office during the week. They are horrible when it comes to the phones and ask that everyone just leave messages. I don't know if this is something that is emergency enough to call that line. I'm uncomfortable, but it's not something that is causing to much hassle in my life. Should I wait it out or bother my doctor at home on a weekend?
