Downton Abbey - ITV1

I truly, absolutely and totally adore this show. I now have a reason to look forward to sunday evenings.

I too am joyous to discover they have commissioned another series :D

I think Edith is worse than Mary because she is so sly.

What kind of person would turn in their own sister to face possible execution, goes well beyond simple sibling rivalry

I am going to be a bit naughty but I know what the time line of this is.

it enRAB with the declaration of war so my thinking would be that 2 will either 1. deal with the war or 2. take place in the years directly post (beginning of the 20's maybe)

I don't think this will go beyond 2 series to be honest. I think they's have a hard time keeping that cast that long. I can see it being a bit Forseyth Drama ish and that went on for 2 (I know that was a book)

Wasn't the date Thursday May 29th on the poster advertising the fair ! Time Stamp 00.40s

00.43 s "When does it open ?", "Tomorrow Afternoon" Mr. Bates replies

Therefore Ep 3. if the date is correct begins on Wednesday May 28th and judging by the "in mourning until September" remark then by default it could well be 1913 but yet they discussed the death of the Turk as if it were the following day / week / month etc.

um, he could have done several things counted as "heavy petting" , rather than the backdoor, which is a bit heavy duty for an inexperienced girl of any class or era, isn't it?.. The fact that she had a man in her bed makes her "not virtuous". She hasn't said she isn't a virgin, and if she were to be married and her husband find her "intact", that would be the end of the rumours.

I love Lady Mary ! Such a bitch , but with a heart .Edith is my bugbear , now there is one jealous cow .
I love the Dad , he reaRAB them like a book .
Aww Anna and Mr Bates . awwww .
This series is terrific . I love it . Bring on some more , cant wait .

I've only ever seen a single episode of Benidorm and I only watch Corrie if I've got the TV on and there's nothing else on (and then whilst doing something else).

I couldn't agree more. It did seem, however, that the Cheerful Charlie's subplot was somewhat tacked on and rather unnecessary. If this had been UD they'd have devoted a whole episode to it and milked it for all it was worth. Here it seemed like it had been edited down to a furtive trip to the pub, being caught stealing fruit and veg and then Nicky Henson turning up on the doorstep. It just seemed like an excuse to cram in another "name".
