Downton Abbey - ITV1

Might have been covered but does anyone else think that Rob Collier aka Evil Footman poisoned Turkish man?? He had the motive and seems so sinister I wouldn't think he'd leave it to chance that the Turk could ruin him..

This is quite different from The Palace/

The Palace didnt have the writing or the money behind it like this.

however, The Palace was entertaining in a shit way

I think that today's value and yesterdays's are being muddled to the detriment of an otherwise good drama. Although the removal of the body with the maid glimpsing the legs disappearing around the corner was a bit Fawlty Towers!:o::D

Me too, he's been my fave. since the start. Loved his version of Travis' version of Hit Me...

Nope, he shouldn't have been bottom 2 at all

Stealing wine is nothing compared that nasty piece gets up to!
O'Brien up to no good again.

Oh dear voices of the WI, putting that old bird in the ad wasn't a wise thing to do.

Yep!! I really don't like him, loathsome boy! It's all down to how they're acted though, and Rob James-Collier is doing a sterling job! I detest Thomas, almost as much as I detest O'brien, She's just got the edge though, for now. ;)

Really look forward to this each week, Hats off to Julian Fellowes for penning such a great series.

I know! All rather unfathomable. Perhaps she is so innocent that she doesn't know she is still a virgin, having seen a naked man was enough perhaps. :D Perhaps he dropped dead before 'getting round to it' by the alleged back door.

Welcome, aquamanda btw - I love the name, it reminRAB me of the 70s.

He wouldn't do that. The child would obviously not be his (too dark) and he'd be a bit of a laughing stock.

They didn;t have sex anyway. Also it is obvious that he is attracted to her, even if he doesn't know it yet. He was very put out by, and was trying to follow, her conversation with the Turk at dinner. I can see why Mary is a fasicination to him. She is a cold hard character but if she thawed a bit she'd be alright I think and she is obviously very intelligent and a challenge. To a bloke like him, who is likewise (intelligent), it's an attraction.

I really enjoyed DA. Brendon Coyle made it for me, so understated and when he was in tears at losing his job, well I was heartbroken for him.

His part is a complete opposite to his Larkrise and North & South parts and shows what a good actor he is.

Not seen this last week as we had GG on the other side. I only found out that "Liam from Corrie" is in it today. Is he any good? Does he play the same part as Liam?

You may. However it is indisputable that ITV, across 4 channels has without a shadow of a doubt, the worst roster of programmes of any broadcaster of a comparable size. They are lowest common denominator broadcasters, always have been but at least in the past they could legitimately claim to be on the right side of the populist line. Not so now.

Like many people with a working brain, all ITchaV means to me for most of the year is TVBurp and sod all else. I mean, FGS they can

Accents? :D :D :D :D

If the frequent mentions of Thirsk and Ripon are anything to go by, Downton is supposed to be somewhere in the Vale of York.
I still haven't heard anything approaching a North Yorkshire accent yet

I must say though, overall I am enjoying this series and it's good to see that ITV haven't forgotten how to make a good drama - even if belief has to be suspended even more than the ladies' stockings, occasionally .....
