Downstairs neighbors complain we're too loud, but we're really doing everything...

...we can! Can we be evicted? My husband and I recently moved into a second floor apartment in Texas, about three months ago. We love our place, the apartment complex and our neighborhood and we do everything we can to be good neighbors. The people that live below us, however, are constantly banging on our floor (their ceiling),apparently because we are making too much noise. Sometimes I know what it's from, such as vacuuming (although I NEVER do it before noon or after 4pm, and it's usually on a Saturday!) or walking (we never have shoes on and we make sure not to walk loudly!) or, for example, I was pulling a pan out of my cabinet the other day and a couple pots toppled over and fell onto the kitchen floor. Typically, noises such as that only last momentarily and we aren't skipping or hopping around our living room! But they bang on our floor all the time! They have complained twice now and we have received letters from the office saying that we need to be more conscientious of the noise we are making, but we are REALLY trying here and they just seem to never be happy! I sent one complaint in for their banging on our floor, but it hasn't seemed to make a difference. Truth be told, because I truly believe that we are being the best upstairs neighbors we can, I don't really care if they want to bang on our floor or complain about us, because I know that their constant unhappiness is more unpleasant to them than it is to us! However, I am just worried about getting evicted! Is it possible for them to complain us out of a home? This is my husband and I's first place and I don't know if I should be worried or not. If anyone has any helpful advice, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Thank you!
