downloading music

I am really really gun shy of getting any p2p - I had so much crap on my computer, not sure the origin but I'm free of it now (I think/hope.) I am also using mozilla which has been superb stopping 100% of popups better than googletoolbar.

So I'm reading the reviews @ cnet for ares - like all p2p there are people who like it and people who do not. Some of the people who are having trouble appear to be just dumb about installing the program. But others say that a few months in, even if you've unchecked the spyware thing your computer gets fuxored.

Any comments?

IMHO, to be able to use a p2p and not totally destroy your computer you need to really know what you're doing from the time you download and install the p2p to actually downloading files from it, you jneed to be aware of what you're bringing in, and what to definitely avoid... and you have to remove any spyware that came with that program... among other things.. Alot of people claim Kazaa ruined their computer... I've been using it for 2 or 3 years now and I've never got a virus from it, and I rarely find spyware on my computer.. Its a common sense thing more than anything..

My dad's ol lady bought two years of free downloading for twenty six dollars and that is what I use. All my frienRAB have all my music so I never really dl it
