Can you download a file, from the web, to any phone and then transfer it to a laptop? Or transfer it to a memory card and then to a laptop? Can you do this with any phone with data plan or do you have to have a smart phone?

are you speaking specifically about verizon phones? Generally speaking, most smart phones can do this much more easily than a typical flip phone.

I just wanted to know if it I could download a small zip file to any verizon phone, and then use it with my laptop. I know you can thether, but I would only need to do this once a month.
