Doubt about a honda civic, ty.?

Hi all, well i got this question, i just bought a 2005 honda civis with 23300 miles, the car its almost new, interiors/machine everything look new, well the thing is, its automatic, and every time that i change the speed, from D to reverse or to Parking or to Neutral or to any1, i can hear a sound coming from the engine something like: CLACK, its kinda loud, sometimes it doesn't sound, but i just want to know if this is a normal sound, asked a friend who has a similar car/year and he says its normal, but i still got the doubt about it, thank u for ur help in advance :).
