I'm a communication advertising major with a huge passion for photography... My goal for my future is to open and run my own photography business.
I've been studying for photography for four years now, and I love everything about... however because my parents are paying for my education, they've prohibited me from majoring in photography (they feel that it's not a secure job that will make me financially "rich" secure in the future.)
So I decided to do communication advertising as my major, which I do enjoy, just not quite so much as photography.
I can declare a double major and take photography... but I don't really like the schools photography program, as much as some other schools.
should I double major in photography... would it be even worth majoring in... (technically I could take lots of community college classes in photography.... santa monica college has an excellent photography program with a wide range of photography classes, expanding through most of the field. )
Or should I just finish this communication degree, and then go for a second degree part time... when I can pay for it myself, and am not relying on my parents money. Is it worth going for a second degree?
