use)? I know this is a bit of an odd research request but please can you help advuse me of door handles which are suitable for installation in extreme environments (for outdoor use)?

They need to be able to resist the following without rusting:
• High humidity levels
• High temperatures
• High levels of sea salt!

I suspect a material like Brass is probably the way forward? What materials are used in other tropical environments and harsh climates such as Alaska and Scandinavia?

I am not worried about design or sizes, this is just preliminary research to see what materials are suitable and will last pretty much forever without rusting!

There are several materials that could be used in extreme environments. As you say brass is a good option but there is also aluminium or an aluminium alloy that would resist corrosion. Some high impact plastics may be suitable as long as they were not subjected to very high temperatures.I would suggest looking at a ship's chandlers catalogue for some ideas because they will only be selling items that can resist salt water.
