I forgot to comment on this. One thing I wasn't sure about - Was Dr Kane Eden's father? She left Glasgow with her mum when she was a kid, and the Dr went on about his wife and family outside the wall. It felt hinted at but nothing more. It does give a different perspective on the whole movie though... which I thought was decent.
It was poorly written and I thought its vision of the future was dodgy (two ridiculous extremes, tatooist cannibalistic punks and medieaval people) but it was entertaining once you took it for what it is. Even down to the music, it felt like what would happen if Michael Bay directed a small budget film set in Scotland. And you've got to admit, that's fun.
