so, I like the heavy breather. I place an online order for that an a PCV from fuelmoto.. I get the pcv in short order. the heavy breather is from one of the discount places.. so I have to wait.. today it arrives..

on the outside.. everything looks good, there's the invoice from the shipper stuck on the box nicely..



so far, so good.. I open the box.. wtf???



how did that happen???? lets look on the inside of the box..



damn.. they saw it was damaged and stuck the invoice thing over the hole.. wtf?????

oh well...



so.. yes, I realize that bad things happen sometimes in shipment.. but this was clearly the place shipping a damaged box to me and hiding it... WTF???

am I wrong to be so peeved??? argh..

I intend to and have already contacted them. However, Internet Sales is closed till Monday. Its just aggravating that they shipped a damaged box.

They won't get my business again.
 
Update

I went the ask for a new part route.

I shipped the unit back, they got it and then "lost" it. Told me that they had three in stock, but they couldn't "find" them and they would have to order a new one for me. A week went by, they hadn't gotten it in, they still had them in stock, still couldn't find them. Told me i would have it by thte end of last week at the latest..called today, the computer says it's been in but it hasn't shipped, yeah, nice try guys..

Told them if i didn't see the credit on my card by tomorrow, I would file a dispute, the guy said, well I guess i will have to credit you since well, we haven't shipped it...

So, twenty percent off might sound nice, but chicago Harley doesn't deserve my business

P.s. This isn't the first time I've had a problem with them, but I had decided to give them another chance.. Fool me once....
 
LSHD1.com that is all I have to say, and they are having free shipping over the laborday weekend. They have been great to work with.
 
I've been waiting 2 weeks for shift levers from Chicago HD. If I don't hear that it has been shipped in the next couple days I am going to call and find out what is going on. It shouldn't take this long for a fairly common part.
 
That's the great thing about mail-order, you never have to face the people that you're pissing on. Sure, 20% is a nice price break, but, I'd rather do business face to face, just a preference.
