When i first read about it, i was aghast & believed only a monster could do such a terrible thing.

Today, i read about what the man was going thru'...& i feel sorry for him. i don't, for a second, excuse what he did. It was horribly wrong & never justifiable but with the amount of stress people today are under, is it understandable?

What can be done to prevent such horrors happening?

Please don't get me wrong. In no way do i condone what the man did. It IS unforgivable & you're right about saying that mostly it is done out of spite. My point here is simply that this could have been, may have been avoided if the man knew how to deal with the stress life had thrown at him. i agree that everyone goes thru' despair & we do not hurt our children...but some weak people do. What can we do to understand them & prevent it ?
