Pretty much this is what's going on. I'm in college right now and I've been trying to get a girlfriend for quite some time but of course to no avail. Just three weeks ago I met this one girl that I really like while playing pool at a friends house. I haven't really gotten the chance to get to know her but I like her personality and her livelyness I suppose. I was just about to ask her out when I found out that she is only a highschool student in 11 grade. No big deal because that means she is 16 and I am 16 so it works. The problem is that after the end of next year she will be going to college at Texas Tech or some other school where as I go to college at Midwesten State University and am going to be transfering to a place that is far far from where she will be. In addition, I have the feeling that if this girl and I do get together that some other girl is going to come along that goes to the same school as I and I'll have to turn her down and have a long distance relationship, which will suck on both ends. So yet again, I have to choose the trail of the lonely guy. Fuck nuggets and poo balls.

Go out with her, things might change...theres no point in waiting on the future. my girlfriend was going to move to the eastern states until we started going out, then she got a transfer and lives in an apartment not far from me.:D

Seriously dude... being in a relationship isn't all it's cracked up to be. And being in a long distance relationship just sucks ass. Of course, having a temporary fuck buddy can be fun. And fuck buddies are so much better when it's someone with a personality you can tolerate. Of course I'm no expert at relationships, so you probably shouldn't listen to me. Here I am, 27 and I've only had.... *counts on fingers* 8 sexual partners, and 3 of those were one night stands, and only 4 were long lasting relationships. I have trouble finding a girlfriend sometimes because I'm such an asshole. But I enjoy being single sometimes. It's really not so bad. And when you stop desperately seeking a girlfriend and just be content to be single, that's usualy when some nice girl just sortof falls into your life.

I forgot what the point I was trying to make was.

Yeah, go for it.
I in a similiar situation seeing as my lady friend is in a bordering state, and six hours away really blows. you can hear me bitch about it in the insignificant others thread.

anyways, I say take a chance on it, and if worse comes to worse, you gotta cut it off before she leaves. Trust me, it sucks unless you really like her.

Plus, you are sixteen. I hate to say it, but when I was sixteen, I had the WRONG idea about ladies. I still don't know if I have the right idea now, but at least I recognize it.
sorry.
Ignore that last part.

Tell her about it.
Tell her eveything you feel.
Let her know you need her
Let her know that she's for real.

Thank you, Billy. Dude, don't do it. It's far more of a hassle than its worth, particularly at 16. The whole world is about to be yours for the taking! Don't waste time with a girl who is obviously going to get the shit fucked out of her at Texas Tech. They do some wierd things down there.

Why don't you ask the girl out and see what happens?

"What if..." and "If only..." are two of the hardest things to deal with later on.

Seems like this period in your life is a good time to find out more about yourself, dating, and women. Think of it as training. Until you have a chance to have a few relationships, it's hard to know what you really like in other people, and how you can better interact and deal with a potential partner.

If you two hit it off, and things go well, just be honest about the future, so neither of you are dealing with unrealistic expectations.

I have nothing really important to say for once, because I completely and unequivically agree with Yuck!
