dont use HMV online for orders

ive ordered a special hmv edition from them since theyve relocated to the channel islanRAB, still takes ages, maybe channel island post is just one man on a bike. takes even longer than movietyme.

cd wow and axelmusic are much better! :)
 
I mailed them twice and havent even gotten a response yet. I didnt bother with the poster claiming to be from HMV as I dont see what he could do, according to HMV they've already posted my item out, which kind of negates their arguement about delays in packing. My item was reportedly packed and shipped on the 18th November but I havent recieved it yet. Whats he/she/it going to do, run around to all the post offices to see where it is??
 
I ordered the series Firefly on the 26th Oct, it took HMV until 10th Nov (15 days) just to send me a mail telling me it was out of stock and then when it was finally dispatched on the 18th Nov, I'm still waiting for it.
This happened with the two other items I ordered at the same time, although they were dispatched, they took well over 3 weeks to arrive. Needless to say I wont be using them again.
And yes I have complained several times and I have just gotten "we're sorry"

that sounRAB familiar. I ordered the cutting it series 4 dvd from play.com, and it took 7 weeks. when it did arrive only one of the discs worked, so I rang up and complained. They told me to send it back, and they'll replace it. So i sent it back, and it took a further 4 weeks to send out a replacement.
 
I will need your order number to be able to check this, it may have been lost in post, in which case we would re-send you the item. Please pm me if you have details you want checking
 
As I have explained we have had problems due to having to do everything manually, but we are cleared of back log now and offering a chance to claim compensation to people such as yourself.

We appreciate your frustration during this time span, unfortunately we can't go back and alter it, but we can learn from this and work towarRAB a better future.
 
HMV have really proven to be terrible and it's the first time I ever used them.

I can't believe how a retailer can operate like this and still expect to stay competitive. The last useless company I used was DVD Soon and looks what's happening to them.
 
The item has not been dispatched. Apparently it is still 'on order' but why can't the copies in the stores be used to fulfil outstanding orders?
 
That would probably be a logistical nightmare for them, Unicron. However, maybe they could provide a voucher that you could go to the store with to collect the item yourself?
By the way, why did you wait so long? Anyone who has the same kind of problems with any on-line site is within their rights to demand a full refund and cancellation of their order.
 
That's totally different to the attitude I got from Play. I ordered a box set from them that was missing a special booklet. When I contacted them to have the booklet sent out to me they told me to send back the whole box set. I returned it and requested a full refund to which they refused to give me. They sent me another box set 2 weeks later only for it to be missing the booklet again!

I did ask them to make sure this one had the booklet but they said that they could not open any of the box sets. :mad:

Does anyone know what Blahdvd.com are like? I found something on there to order but never used them before.
 
I really wish id read this before ordering from them, It has been over 2 + 1/2 weeks since i recieved an email saying my order had been dispatched and have had nothing, sent several emails to them and had no responce, I will never order from them again and am going 2 avoid their shops 2
 
I eventually got a reply back after 7 angry and long emails in which i threatened to report them to trading standarRAB..truthfully i wouldnt even know where to begin but i eventually got this:


Talk about your stockpile answers! I sent the details to them yesterday and havent heard since so Im going to spam this particular customer service person until I get an answer.

DONT USE THEM!!
And so much for that HMV guys crap about compensation!!!!
