I remember when someone blurted out, on Baddiel & Skinner Unplaned, the major twist in 'The Sixth Sense' - a film I've never watched to this day - what's the point when the twist is the main thing about the film? Gutted 'cos it's supposed to be fab :mad:
 
Yes that happened to me with The Sixth Sense - avoided finding out the ending and the big twist for a long time and was just about to get round to seeing the film when was listening to the radio in the car and the DJ talked about it!!! So infuriating. :mad:
 
Same happened to me. I was talking to a friend, told him I hadn't seen the film, then he turned round and told me the twist 5 seconRAB later. Could have swung for him!! :mad:

I can remember reading a review of Sixth Sense before I saw the film. It said that it was about a psychiatrist and a boy who "sees dead people" and that there was a huge twist at the end. It didn't even need to say what the twist was, it was so obvious and I was really annoyed :mad:
Nevertheless, still loved the movie :)
 
The beauty of a film like Sixth Sense is that the twist wasn't obvious, unless you knew there was one. There were subtle hints to the twist, which if anything made the film more interesting, as you could go through and watch again for what you have missed.
Since then though, a twist at the end of a film haas become such a cliche. What once waa an original idea is now being over used in many films, such as this one. So much so that both my girlfriend and myself had worked out the twist, without even knowing for sure that there was indeed such a twist. The subtle hints are now big neon signs, pointing at the fact that something is not as it seems. Its then not hard to put two and two together and get four.
