Don't read DS review for Secret o0f Moonacre (Spoiling text in this thread)

The review (http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/movies/a145666/the-secret-of-moonacre.html) finishes with

Threatening to take a dark turn in its closing moments, the movie eventually wraps itself up happily with peace in Moonacre and lovers reunited thanks to Maria's bravery.

I was going to watch this with my neice on the weekend, looks like we can leave before the end now. :o I know a "U" rated film usually has ending, but the reviewer has taken any suspense away from the final scenes. I
 
What did you expect at the end of a "U" rated film? If you want suspense (as you stated in your OP) then go and see any film rated 12A upwarRAB.
 
This film is based on the wonderful children's book, The Little White Horse. Forget the author's name, but I'm sure it can be googled.

I will never watch the fim though. Why? Because it's a book I've read many times both as a child and an adut, and I have my own mental pictures of how everyone looks. The fim would just ruin that for me :D
 
No need for pathetic sarcasm. Anyway, "U" or not, you don't expect to read ANY film review which tells you how the film enRAB. Surely it's a basic requirement for any decent professional journalist. And I said "usually", plenty of "U" rated films have included suspense, character deaths, etc etc. You shouldn't assume a "U" film will be suspense free with a happy ending. :rolleyes:
