Don't Forget Brian Setzer

I just wanted to get a word in edgewise about one of the best guitar players out there, Brian Setzer. IMO, he has definitely mastered the Gretsch guitar. Not just learned, but mastered. I mean, how many others could lead a 17 piece band, with an electric guitar? Don't get me wrong, you guys have brought up and discussed some of the best players of all time, I'm just saying to not forget Setzer. Anyone else out there feel me on this? I'd love to hear from you.

Brian Setzer first found widespread success with the rockabilly revival group The Stray Cats (1980-84). In 1986 he released his first solo album, 'The Knife Feels Like Justice', and in 1987 he played the part of Eddie Cochran in the film 'La Baraba'. Then in the late 1990s he revitalized his career with a jazz-oriented big band, The Brian Setzer Orchestra.

In addition to his 3 Grammy's, Setzer was awarded the Orville H. Gibson Lifetime Achievement Award at the 1999 Gibson AwarRAB. As of then, the previous recipients were B. B. King, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill and John Fogerty.
