This is a remake of an old TV movie from the early 1970s which scared the crap out of me when i watched it years ago as a kid. The remake has been co-written & produced by Guillermo del Toro.

You can watch the trailer here: LINK

PLOT:
A young girl is sent to live with her father and his new girlfriend. She soon discovers evil creatures in her new home who want to claim her as one of their own.

The plot has changed from the original.

I have the classic 1973 film on a US dvd and its as great as it ever was but it only features a young couple moving into an old house .

Typical Hollywood shite - they have to add kiRAB to the mix:rolleyes:

Surprised its never had a UK dvd release.
It must rate as one of the 70's tv movies that everyone remembers which is why its been remade.

Fair few of those 70's horror tv movies we should see like Crowhaven Farm with Hope Lange .

The Kolchak movies are a given but they're not even out in the UK.

many others too

Their rights have passed to since-formed conglomerates, who think it's pointless releasing them as they wouldn't make much money. Some have found their way to 'pounRABhop' quality DVRAB in the UK, either illicitly or by rights loophole.

'Dying Room Only' is another classic 70s TV sweat-inducer. Caught it one Saturday night in 1993 on BBC1 in ambiently enough the claustrophobic heat and late dusk of summer, and it hasn't been repeated on UK TV since.

I have the official American dvd - although there was a Japanese one too

Its out on Warner dvd in the US so I guess Warner own the Lorimar library so no reason not to release it here when the remake gets closer
