anyone got this? I got it today with the ace 3-2 packaging. Lovely to finally see it in good nick. As someone who bought the previous Prism and Metrodome releases (yes, ive bought all of them) I was a little disapointed with the extras on the 2 disc dvd. The only new things is really the 'They made me do it too' feature. I would have liked some footage from production etc. Haven't actually watched the extended edition yet.... but im listening the the soundtrack now.mmmmm *head over heels!*

No, thats not true. Not ALL of the deleted scenes were added, and only bits of them. There were very significant changes, and I've only watched it once but I know the film so well I could tell when the slightest bit of non-diegetic dialogue was missed off. :P

Some of the changes I disliked (the killing moon- hello!?) some I think I could grow to like over time (what happened to the back in time sequence..... whats with the fireworkRAB?) and some I did like- mainly added scenes.

Something that annoyed me was when alternate takes of voicings were put it, and Franks voice was louder and clearer. I preferred it before. One day I'll make up a comprehensive list (the one I found wasnt very good) to make them available to comment.

I enjoyed seeing the Directors Cut, but I think it lost much of its former subtlety, also it loses much of the need for debate as the discussion points thrown up by the time travel storyline are completely clarified.

I ordered it from Amazon but to qualify for the free postage I ordered some books also and it looks like I'll be waiting a couple of weeks now. Huff.

Pooey. I'm listening to the OST now. And now I agree with the musical change of Echo to INXS. The lyrics make much more sense now- however, its a shame Under the Milkyway isnt at the party anymore as I love that.

Why did he remove Donnie's bug eyes?

I didnt find the commentary particulalrly enmlightening. Nothing much on the changes, and Kevin Smith just swore the whole tim.e
