Donkey Punch

Typical Daily Mail review.

I saw the film earlier, I thought it was okay with some funny bits (whether they were supposed to be is another thing all together). There were some times I was thinking "Why don't they do that" or "Do that" but it's a film so you should really suspend belief.

Certainly no-one in my screening seem to share Ms Platell's wish to walk out - no-one even left to go to the toilet. There was a girl sat near me who seemed to be uncomfortable but I suspect that was attention grabbing as her boyfriend was concentrating on the film.

I shouldn't rush, it's not that great. Takes an age to get started and then is very predictable indeed. The Daily Mail people ranting about it being the vilest movie ever really need to see more movies.

edge of your seat hoping you can get up and leave the cinema and go home now I think :D

I'm not sure about this, If you take the stigma around the Donkey Punch away (which is probably a tiny part of the film in the first 20 mins, I'm guessing), are you not just left with yet another "Horror Teen Movie".

I'll watch it, but I'm in no rush, the trailer looked boring

I went tonight to watch it. My two frienRAB loathed it and thought it was incredibly boring but I enjoyed it for what it was.

Yes, you do see the actual 'donkey punch', but the sex scenes aren't that bad; neither is the drug taking. The violence is quite gross but it's funny most of the time.

It's an average film and it's quite obviouse who is going to survive and die etc.

I liked Josh's character the best.

I saw it last night and really liked it, it a british version of dead calm. Very enjoyable and not much gore and the violence not that bad and nothing we aint seen before,.

Well worth a visit to cinema for in light of school child pleasing fare at the mo for the summer holidays, Now roll on batman.:):)

I saw it today. I'm not really sure what to make of it.

It was alright, it above average but 4 stars out of 5 from Empire magazine? I don't think so!

It was well acted, it was tense, atmospheric in places, psychological with a dash of slasher in there but it's not horror movie and certainly not a teen movie. Adults only i'd say. I really liked the soundtrack, some good tunes! :)

The one character who i couldn't believe and pretty much annoyed me was Bluey
(a white male talking black! Wtf was that about?!).
Totally ridiculous but i guess he was the 'comedy' factor.

Don't mean to sound perverse here :p but as for the 'Donkey Punch' i thought it was anal sex? In the film it just looked like he was doing her doggystyle. If it was anal he certainly got in there perfectly easy which is no mean feat! :D

Um are you sure you saw the same film as the rest of us? Well acted? Tense? You could see everything that was going to happen a mile off. "hmmm, that's a handy pen knife. I wonder what I could do with that!". "Ah, some rope! That'll come in useful later!". lol :D

He was "doing a Westwood" ( directed at him not you).

Well the bit on the left says you are in Glasgow so I can forgive you that one as I guess you still have a decent accent up there. But come to England and speak to some youths and you might be surprised . Maybe it's just a London thing, I'm not sure!

@ the people who have seen it, is it fair to say its not a teen slasher type movie, nothing like I know what you did or scream in its basic form.

Yes i did see the same film. You're entitled to your opinion and i'm entitled to mine. We can't all be Mark Kermode wannabes on here! ;)

I got that but it was just stupid. If one of my frienRAB started talking like that he'd get a slap! :D

And for the record this is not a Scream/What You Did Last Summer type of film! Does this film look American to you? The sex scenes wouldn't get past the MPAA! :p
