Done with Blackberry, on to the new things, advice?

Should I get an Ipaq 6515 now or wait for treo 700 GSM, or the new ipaq 6900 series with a camera? I really like how the antenna looks on the treo (I know, stupid thing, but that's part of what has turned me off about my current phone).

I currently have a blackberry 7290 which really is a one-trick pony. It was cool for the first year, but no camera, no multimedia type stuff, all round really really boring... NEXT.

I would LIKE to have a similar email experience. I am able to do pop or Exchange email, but do I have to get a windows mobile 5.0 device? is it possible to upgrade an ipaq 6515 to windows mobile?

please share your thoughts.

If you want the same mail experience, then you'll need something running the AKU2 update of WM5, which are just starting to appear. That gives you push mail, remote admin/lockout/hard reset and AD2P to support stereo audio over bluetooth.

AD2P upgrades are expected shortly for existing WM5 smartphones but there's no confirmation yet on which or when they'll be available (although there is a "test" version around for the Qtek 9100). The 6515 can't be updated to WM5 Phone Edition because it won't fit into it's 64MB ROM.

If you're prepared to wait (July?), the device that seems to offer it all at the moment is the Fujitsu T830 (Keyboard, 3G, GPS, 2MP AF camera, BT 2.0). But no doubt by then there'll be something better round the corner

What do you think about a treo 650 with blackberry connect? I did some research and apparently this will be possible soon... in the meantime I could probably do something with POP's and redirects yes?

I want to get one before april and maybe my budget will make a decision for me... :P
