Dolby Digital and my 360

ok how do i get DD for my 360, by hooking up simply L-R (white and red) to my tuner I do not get the option for Dolby Digital because it says Analogue. I can only get Dolby Pro Logic 2. Can someone explain to me through an analogue input (the white and red vga connectors) how you get DD 5.1 surround? I have a RCA rt2760 and it says on the front of it Dolby Digital but when I cycle through the lists of the types of surround sounds there is no option for Dolby Digital. I am so confused and pissed off by this.

Um, you can't. You have to use an optical cable which hooks into the small gray block that goes right into the back of the 360.

Don't take offense to this but I'm worried what kind of system you built if you didn't do enough research to know you needed either digital coaxial or optical to get DD5.1.
