Dolby Digital 6.1?

I was checking out Superchannel HD (I think it was SCHD1) yesterday. It was the movie "Rescue Dawn". For the first time on my ExpressVu setup I saw that on the audio receiver the audio indicator said that 6 channels + 1 were being fed, together with "Dolby Digital" and "Straight" (the "straight" indicating that no ProLogic or any other processing was taking place - that's how I prefer).
My sat receiver is 9200 and the audio receiver is Yamaha RX-Z9. Connected through optical.
Has anyone else seen DD 6.1 from ExpressVu?
 
I am pretty sure it contained matrixed rear (not to be confused with surround) channels. Look up Dolby Digital EX in Wikipedia.
