Hi! I'm Jazmin, 16 years of age, and I've been very interested in photography for the last few years and have recently saved up enough cash to buy myself a dSLR (Nikon D3000).
My mom is having her 40th Birthday "White Party" this August (the 21st) and she wants me to set up a little portrait area at the venue so her and her guests can have photos taken of their "grown and sexy" selves. My mom is going to be paying me for this job, along with whatever cash I make from selling the prints to her friends for a reasonable price.
I have no studio equipment which I know I will need. I just want to know where I can buy or rent some easy-to-use studio lighting stuff and a decent sized black muslin backdrop. I've never used studio equipment before, but I've been reading the Strobist blog a lot recently and I'll be starting an internship at the photo studio inside of the JCPennys in town, so that should give me more used to working with stuff like speed lights and pocket wizards and things like that.
I just need to know what I need to get.
How or where I can get it for a decently low price.
And generally how much money I'm gonna need to save to get it.
Please help!
