Dog Wont Stop Trying To Pull Out Staples?

I accidentally cut my dogs tail 4 days ago while grooming her...I was using a razor(like what is used on human hair) and was doing very well at shaving her since she had massive amounts of hair. A neighbor walked past the window, it scared her, she jumped up and ran, hence...making a gash on the end of her tail. I called the local emergency vet and they told me to just apply pressure then wrap it up. I did so. The bleeding continued off and on so by Monday morning, I had her in the vet's office. They cleaned it and put staples in it, then wrapped it. I noticed last night (Tuesday) that it was obviously oozing b/c the wrap was slightly bloody. So, I decided to remove the bandage, and re-bandage it myself, as the vet told me I could if this should happen. Not even 10 minutes later, my dog had the bandage completely off, chewing on her staples, trying to get them out! This morning (Wednesday), I have now wrapped and re-bandaged her tail for the 6th time or more. I was up ALL night doing this, repeatedly. B/c of the vet bill, and me having to miss work to be home with her Monday and today, I can't afford to go out and buy anything or take her back to the vet. Is there any home-remedy I can use or something I can do to keep her from trying to get the staples and bandage off?! I can't miss one more day of work b/c of this, I'm at my wits end.
