My Dog came into heat about a week in a half ago, she is a Lab 9 months old, Her teets all swollen and her vulva is swollen as well, but now all of a sudden she seems to go pee, whines, backs up ears back and cowers, could she have a bladder infection now???
Thanks for commenting everyone, rest assured spaying her is what we have planned from the start, was caught off guard, like just before new years eve!! Everyone i have spoken to says their teets swell, and im going to see what happens tomorrow and take her to the vet, im thinking bladder infection as well..poor little gal...i feel bad for her as she chews on my chair while i am writing!!!

Sounds like that is exactly what she has. She will need to see the vet ASAP. An untreated bladder infection can lead to kidney disease.

Did you allow her to breed? She is only 9 months old. I will spare you the "do the right thing and spay her talk" because I find it usually falls on deaf ears.

But even if you were going to breed her doing so and 9 months old is terribly bad for her health and the health of any pups she may have. That is if she can even carry them full term and deliver them.

Take her to a vet right away. If she did get pregnant there may be a problem or she could have contracted one of the many sexually transmitted canine diseases. She could also have an UTI. So she needs to get to a vet right away. But since you said that she was only in heat about a week and a half ago, I wonder why she has swollen teats. I wonder if she has cysts on her ovaries. That could be a serious problem and she may need to be spayed for medical reason. Trust me cysts on the ovaries are very very painful and she will prove very difficult to breed anyway so spaying her is the best answer.

Take her to a vet, see whats wrong and schedule and appointment for SPAYING! WHOO! isnt that a fun word?!

Could be. I would suggest taking a urine sample to the vet. Or even better, having the vet get the sample right from her bladder with a sterile needle. That way, the blood that is in her vulva from being in estrus will not be confused with a bladder infection.

i really couldnt tell you but my suggestion would be to give it a few more days. if she is still whining when she pottys, i would take her up to the vet so they can check her out. though the vet can be pricey, better safe than sorry, right?
