Dog whining and can't figure out what's wrong?

She is a strictly indoor Doxie/wienie. Last time she whined this bad she had twisted a muscle in her back. But this time she is still very active, runs, jumps and fetches just fine. She eats and uses her pads like normal. In the past couple days she just looks up at us and whines... all day long. We give her tons of attention and play all the time. She's fine when sleeping, and sleeps through the night.

Any ideas? We're stumped. We won't have a chance to get her to the vet for a couple more days.
 
I think she may be concerned about problems going on in your household.
Dogs are pack/family animals.
They get attached, and feel for the "head dog" [you].
They protect the family, but also try to state their mind.
Have you talked to your dog lately and listened?
