This is partially my fault, really. I went in earlier because I saw him chewing at his stitches (he';s been off it all day, had it done today and now he's just all blerrgghhh) and I put the elizabethan collar on him but he hated it and it just stressed him out more, so I took it off him and gave him a chew to try and calm him down and left him...now he's whining up a storm.
He's 7 months old and he's never whined at night once he got over the settling in stage, he's probably scared but there's not much I can do :/ he's not allowed to sleep on my bed or in my room so that's a no-go and I can't think of much else to do without going in and disturbing him more.
No, he's not in pain, they gave him pain meds and antibiotics that should last for 48 hours and I can't really contact them for more, it's like...1:30am |:
Just to add, he's had food (chicken and rice) as well as a lot of love since he's come home, I can't do much else for him. I don't want to sit with him all night because I have my own work to do and sleep to catch up on :/
Yeah, but I don't exactly want him whining all night. Not to sound selfish, but I have a very important exam tomorrow and he's been sleepy and fine all day up until now.
He's in the usual room, and when I put the collar on the first time he just sat there and shook. I'm not putting it on him again because I'll just get told off in the morning and he'll whine even more and I don't need this. The exam I'm taking is one I can't retake for a year and basically the rest of my life depends on it.
