anyone else interested in seeing the 2nd one-in my opinion no1 was superb.some sites are allready advertizing a R1 dvd release in winter 05.this could mean either straight to dvd or lim release in cinemas+i think american money is involved-this could be bad or good -for 2 reasons-1 they have more money to throw at it.and 2/more money does not always mean good writers effects etc.anyone agree/disagree.

I didn't really like the first one, the only reason I didn't switch off half way through was because Sean Pertwee was in it :o :D

It started really well, but I just lost interest when they conveniently found the lady with her jeep and ended up back at the house. I think it was a great concept, but just didn't quite pull it off.

the survivor from the first is in the second-as well as some surprise left-overs.this time he gets help from the american special forces.

Yup, I fully expect the sequel to be drained dry of it's Britishness, something which made the original joyfully unique! :(

I enjoyed Dog Soldiers but it was way over hyped so that was maybe why I was slightly disappointed when I saw it!
Many Region 1 website tend to make up future release dates for DVRAB so I wouldnt read to much into them stating a Winter 2005 release for the DVD!
I found this on thezreview.co.uk about Dog Soldiers which gives the start of production date:

Looks like Dog Soldiers 2 is a go. The producers have revealed that they are planning on filming the movie in either Luxembourg or Canada this April on a budget of $5.5 million. Directing is Andy Armstrong, based on a script by David E. Allan and Brian Patrick O' Toole. The movie starts right at the end of the first movie "with Cooper being picked up by an American team who, we find out, were the real opponents for the war games for Sgt. Wells’ squad. We discover more werewolves that we didn’t know about from the first movie, who may or may not be part of the family. There’s more action, more gore and there are definitely more werewolves. It’s all out in the wooRAB again, with plenty of guns and blood."

It might make a cinema release of Dec 05 if filming does start in April!

It won't be any good with americans in it. It's whole 'charm' was in the humour which was very British. IMO the Yanks will only spoil another good film.
