I have a 15 week old Siberian huskie who wont stop pulling my plant pots over and/or eatting my plants (cant say fkowers as none live long enough to blossom). I have tried the water spray approuch and she just thinks it's a drink or just ignores it.

Cesar millan the dog whisperer he is so great I have been using his techniques and they work great he has a show on the national geographic channel and he also has some books out you should check him out he will really help!!

Try (Ropel) you can get it online or at your home depot store or any store that serves home needs

huskys are pretty laid back and can be stubborn at times, i know my ole guy is.when they have something on their minds it is not easy trying to change them. u might want to put them out of reach or give her something else to play with like a chew bone or a toy.when she goes for the plant scold her and tap her nose and say no, then give her something else to keep her busy. my 7 yr old husky still loves squeaky toys, he will carry it around and drop it,push it to hear it squeak with his nose and guard it. once the sound is no longer there thats it he won't touch it again. my other 2 dogs can't wait until they get it to chew it up. huskys have to be active and are pretty possive with what they think is their so get her mind on other items that are hers alone and she might start leaving ur plants alone. good luck

My dogs are not allowed in the garden unless they are obedient and mind. Puppies are never allowed in special areas. You should restrain him until he has been trained to stay and a few more commands. Train him.

huskies are high energy working dogs, being cooped up in the yard is driving ur dog nuts. a lot of owners don't find out about the behavioral problems that come with the breed until they've already purchased the dog. What you need to do is give your dog a job. have him carry a doggy pack and run with you as you bike. get him a wagon so he can pull stuff for you, lets say you do gardening, have him pull the potting mix etc in the wagon - they need a job - and they need exercise. And honestly, water approach does not work on huskies, some huskies love water. Instead of using punishment, think of an alternative that will divert your dog's energy to something else.

Welcome to Husky Ownership!

You did notice the numerous sources that said they like to dig when you were researching the breed - didn't you?

It's very important that you do NOT allow your dog to eat any houseplants. Many are poisonous outright. And many of the fertilizers and pesticides used are also deadly - here is a list of poisonous plants note it isn't a complete list - please research each and every plant you own and rehome any that could be a risk.

Easiest solution is to seperate the dog and the plants.

You will also want to start basic obedience with the pup - the "Leave it" command needs to be learned and practiced ASAP

Also you'll need to entertain the pup. Get him some kongs and buster cubes or other "smart" toys. Make sure he gets enough exercise (just watch his growing joints) because a tired puppy is a good puppy.

When he does that give him a scolding "bad dog" and give him a punishing hit that isn`t to hard on it`s nose. Thats what I had to do to my dog when she repeatidly went to the bathroom in the house. It worked.

Your dog is being a dog. I don't find it easy to watch my dogs tear open my garden either. Thats because I see how much fun it is for them to be themselves. I'm not suggesting you let your dogs ruin your garden, all I'm saying is to put a fence around your plants. I'm sure you love the dog more than the plants
