Dog is shaking and whining and can't move around?

A couple of days ago, my dog (a Chihuahua/Border terrier mix, just turned 3 yesterday) couldn't jump back on the couch or bed. He tensed up when we tried to pick him up. And this morning he started whining for no reason and shaking. We can't pick him up. He refuses to walk around, because everywhere we put him, he just lays down. He is in pain and I can tell. We put him under blankets and we see that his pupils are dilated. He is still shaking and he doesn't look at anyone. Please help me! My dad refuses to take him to the vet, and if it is serious, my dad will put him to sleep :(
Yes, I know my dad is cruel. But, we have no money right now and we are on the verge of losing our house. I have no one else to take him because our naighbors hate us and my mom has passed away. I really need something that I could help him with like house hold items that could help him. Just for a couple more days, until I can get a hold of my dad's ex(she is really good with animals)
 
I'm sincerely sorry for you and your dog, but no one except the vet can help your dog. You're right, he's in pain. He needs the vet and quite frankly, people who refuse to take care of their pet should never have one.
 
Your Dad should be ashambed. Tell him he can't go to the Dr. the next time he is in pain. I usually don't pounce on people here, but this is down right cruel. Your dog needs to go to the vet NOW!
Ask your Mom or a neighbor to take you. Maybe they won't be so cold hearted as your Dad. This just makes me sick!
