Dog got injured from grooming and there is a problem?

I decided to shave my yorkie because the weather was getting hot and his hair on his leg was matted. I took my dog to grooming on Friday and the groomer wasn't really nice. But I thought there wont be any problem because I thought she became a groomer because she loves dogs. When picked him up, my dog was drooling so badly. I never seen him do this. The groomer stated that it was because he was nervous in the cage. This didn't really sound right because this isn't the first time hes been to grooming. When I got home, I saw a big red scar on his neck. I tried calling the grooming salon but they did not answer. They were closed. Saturdays and Sundays they are also closed. The day after grooming, I checked his neck but it was bleeding. I freaked out and went to my friends house and he put medicine on him. On Monday morning I called the grooming salon and told them what happened. They told me to bring him in so they can put medicine on him. By this time, the scar became a scab. A BIG one ! I couldn't take my dog that day because I couldn't take time off work. But the morning after, I took him. They took a look at it and told me it wasn't from them. But I am positive it is from them. When I took my dog back there, my dog started shacking like crazy and didn't want to go near the groomer. He usually does not do this. He is very friendly with everybody. When I take him for a walk, he barks a lot now too. I think hes insecure with people now. What should I do? I have an appointment at the doctors today so he can take a look at my dog. I tried looking for lawyers about this case but I couldnt find one. They all work with dog bite cases but I couldnt find a case for dog injured.
 
While you are calling your lawyer, I would be in that salon during the day when there are other customers around and asking them in a very loud voice what they are going to do about the injury that was done to your dog while he was being groomed. Make sure the other customers hear you.
If that doesn't jog their sense of responsibility, file a claim for the vet bills in small claims court.

Dogs do sometimes get injured during a groom. A reputable salon would admit the injury and be more concerned about the well-being of your dog than covering for themselves.
