Hi, My boyfriend and I recently bought a shih tzu puppy from a breeder and she said both parents were DNA tested. However, when we received our puppy's 3 generation pedigree, only the males have a DNA tested number from the AKC. Are the female dogs DNA tested? Why didn't it show up on the pedigree if they were?
Our puppy was named Moo. 3 days after we got him he had a hypoglycemic attack and we had to take him to the vet. A week later he had to go to the vet again because he got dehydrated. I had to manually start feeding and giving him water through a syringe. He died 7-13-09 in my arms early that morning. His autopsy shows multiple places in his lungs where he hemorraged to death and his liver was extremely pale. The pathologist thinks it was a possible liver shunt and that the blood that should've gone to his liver got into his lungs where he hemorraged.
