okay, my dog Roxi just turned one in april. And we go alot of places ALL THE TIME, so when we go for our 4 hour drives and such we take her with us. and ever since we got her, as soon as she gets in the car.; she drools. and its not normal watery drool its disgusting, sticky, thick drool and it hangs from her face. she stands about 2 feet up and it hangs to the ground and doesn't fall of. disgusting yet? well then she tries to lick it off and it makes it worse, so then she rubs her head on the cushions in the car. she loves car rides and she sticks her head out the window but the drool is driving me crazy. you will be soaked by the end of the car ride. i dont know what to do!
she's a black lab/ australian shepard mix. btw.

She is not as anxious as she is excited. She loves to ride in the car.

My Pit gets a bit more drool going on when she is in the vehicles.

Take some paper towels, or rags. Wipe her face off. Or leave her at home.

Take her to the vet, they may give her some medication when you are planning a long drive. My border collie used to do this though too, and he just grew out of it. I would hope that Roxi would too since you drive so much.

I think she may be getting car sick. The four hour drive might just be too much for her at one time. Rescue Remedy at a nature store or where they sell herbs and organic items. That was recommended for us from our vet

Our dog slobbers a lot and it looks like he swallowed some shoe strings and. She might just be very happy to be in the car. All of our dogs like to be in the car.

Dogs with separation anxiety may also need constant contact and attention when their owners are home. They follow their owners around the house and show increasing anxiety when they see signs that their owners are preparing to leave. When the owners come home, the dogs' overly enthusiastic greetings are prolonged.
