Does your weight affect your bench press?

I know that you are always able to improve and add more weight but does how much you weight have a factor in how easy it is to bench a certain weight?

I'm asking this because I weight 135lbs and I had a hard time lifting 135lbs. Another person tried lifting the same weight but he had a easier time. This person was probably about 250lbs so I would think it would be easier for him to lift 135lbs because it is not even close to his body weight.
