Hi All,
Do those of you who have classical GERD of too much acid and/or a weak LES valve have symptoms occur generally straight away after eating? Or does it begin hours afterward? In my case, I generally feel fine for about two hours after eating, and then the pain and reflux begins. Eating actually makes me feel better.
That said, I've been diagnosed with GERD and prescribed Nexium. However, also have a lot of general bloating, and it got me to wondering if I produce too little stomach acid or and wondering if the delay in symptoms is caused by too little acid.
I really do want to avoid taking the drugs, but I need to understand it more before I make the decision to.
Thanks in advance.
