My XBOX 360 core just got jacked up and I bought it used so I can't get it fixed. So I was wondering what is the failure rate of the Xbox arcade I want to get the arcade cause I already have an hard drive and everything I need so Could you please tell me that I don't want to get another crappy system I am thinking about getting a PS3

Buying a new 360 Arcade system you shouldn't have that problem seeing how I got one and has yet to mess up on me it I had it for almost a full year. However if you buy a used one then you could be making a gamble with your money.Seeing how you could get a newer model or and old one that could possibly get the RROD or E74. However if you still want a used one then I would suggest buying one from Game Stop with a one year warranty so if it does break down you can just take it to back and they'll replace it with another one for free. So you wouldn't have to send the your system back to Microsoft. Hope that this has help you out.

I just bought my bf a refurbished Xbox 360 Arcade and it seems to work fine haven't had any problems with it. They are exactly the same as regular 360s but instead of coming with a 60, 80, 120 gb hardrive on the top they come with a very small amount of memory built in so all you need to do is switch your memory from your old xbox to your new one (that thing on the left/top of your xbox if you didnt know)
Hope this helps
