I work in retail with this one guy (he's 18, and I'm 26). I have a boyfriend (2 years). It's no secret that I am unhappy in my current relationship, and this guy knows it. Yet, it is still awkard when I mention my boyfriend to him. He also told me "it sounds like a restrictive relationship". Once, my boyfriend was in the store shopping and I caught this guy staring at my boyfriend (and in a department he had no business in). He also asked me once, when he saw us shopping in there, "is that your boyfriend".
The strangest part of it all happened Friday night. And this is what I'm wondering about more than anything and could use input:
I punched out for the night, and exited the back of the store section that was employees only. I entered the store itself and found my boyfriend waiting for me. My boyfriend then escorted me prisoner of war style out of the store, walking in front of me. The coworker works the registers, and stands by the only set of doors that lets people in and out at that time of night, so I knew I had to pass by him. I decided to keep my head down and tinker with my mp3 player to avoid his eyes. At the last moment, I happened to look up at the glass doors and caught his reflection in the glass. I saw his eyes go wide, and I saw him staring at me. I felt his eyes on me (is that even possible?) and I felt they were penetrating me and heavily focused on me.
Does what he did when I was leaving the store mean anything? I would really like guy's thoughts on this only, but if anyone has anything to say about it, go on ahead! Thanks and I appreciate your thoughts!
